Abstract:

Modern RAN networks are becoming too complex to operate efficiently without AI and ML. Devices, services, cell sites, frequency bands and end-to-end network slicing are making the network increasingly complex to manage with existing systems and technologies. The need for RAN automation has never been greater, and this requires innovative approaches to automation. 5G, Open RAN and AI will be the building blocks for realizing what we now know as the Metaverse.
